Biomedical Informatics Research Network (BIRN) Project

The BIRN Project is a multi-institutional, NIH sponsored effort to establish a system to make research data universally accessible to aid and improve biomedical research. The system is being designed across institutions so that data can be shared cross-institutionally by users on multiple platforms, enabling collaborative large scale studies in the field of human biomedical research.

NIRL participation in the human morphometry BIRN project is to test hypotheses through multi-site analysis of large MRI datasets.
